DJFlex_africa started his journey of djing skill from the year 2009. I grew a huge apatite for the sounds of deep house and hip hop. My family played a big role in my love for music, they had a large collection of vinyl records and cassettes. Growing up I would start joining songs together by recording on my cassette player even radio mixtapes.

With all my outings I always worn a cap while playing and people would ask where I got my headwear from et cetera, from there I wanted to start a brand and late 2016 I founded BLGTC.com I feel in love with headwear. The first batch sold out marvelously happy times indeed but after our 1st year of trading I faced a big dip in terms of finances, as I have been self funding had issues with manufacturing companies (I won’t mention names) but nevertheless BLGTC.com now is busy working on doing a relaunch which will have a T-shirt line watch the space. Taking it all a step at a time.
Flex_africa & mates rocked crowds at gigs around Bree street Johannesburg, local house parties and abandoned warehouses around the CBD area of JHB. 2017 I begun playing at club venues in Long Street, Cape Town. I might say my breakthrough came on New years eve 2017 into 2018, where i played a seven (7) hour solo set in the Pretoria section of Joburg Pretoria Bar, based in Long Street, followed by Sunglasses hut in V&A Cape Town. Made an Ep called DEITY super dope check it out on SoundCloud.

2019 is gonna be a big year loads of fun stuff coming out flex_africa is planning on pushing boundaries by introducing a podcast channel and BLGTC.com is relaunching with a new T-shirt line full of color watch the space. Inspiration and motivation for all this To still be working is from a couple of speakers I love listening to Dan lock, Vusi thembekwayo & Gary vee man I honestly feel this guys are the most realist people out here. But do keep in mind to find yourself first so as to see the greatest version of you manifest.
