Stranger Things Season 2 UPDATE

The low-down on the Upside-down

Last year, Netflix released a show that took the world by storm. It was a sci-fi thriller set in the 80’s and featured kids trying to save their friend from a monster. Fast forward to a year later, and we’re getting ready for Season 2!

Season 2 is slated to be released in its entirety on 27 October on Netflix.

27 October!

(Spoilers Ahead)

The last time we saw the kids from Hawkins, Indiana, they saved Will, Eleven disappeared and the strange lab seemed to be out of commission. So, what’s in store for us in Season 2?

According to people working on Stranger Things, the second season will show Hopper trying to keep last season’s events quiet, to protect the kids and Joyce.
Will becomes somewhat famous after returning from the Upside-down, but from the looks of the trailer, not all of him came back. “Nothing is going to go back to the way it was,” said an ominous voice in the trailer.

Eleven is set to return and she will play a large role, but no other information about that was given.
There are a few new characters, including a confident tomboy by the name of Max (Sadie Sink) and her brother Billy (Dacre Montgomery). They have only revealed that Max is a potential love-interest for both Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) and Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) and that Billy is a shady character with a Camaro.
Another interesting addition is Sean Astin (Sam, from Lord of the Rings) playing a former nerd who went to highschool with Hopper and Joyce (Winona Ryder) and now manages a RadioShack. He also may or may not be a potential love interest for Joyce. From the trailer, I would assume that he would play a large role with the boys, given the technical nature of being a ‘Ghostbuster.’
Another important piece of information is that Barb (*holds breath*) is NOT returning!

This post will be updated as more information comes to light about the show. Stay tuned.
